Abuja, March 14, 2025 – Politician and former presidential candidate Prince Adewole Adebayo has predicted that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be removed from office through the ballot in the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at a press conference on Friday, Adebayo argued that the current administration has failed to meet the expectations of Nigerians, citing economic hardship, governance challenges, and unfulfilled promises as reasons why the electorate will demand change.
“The Nigerian people will decide in 2027, and I can tell you that they will vote for a new leadership because this government has not delivered the change it promised,” he stated.
Adebayo, who contested in the 2023 presidential election under the Social Democratic Party (SDP), emphasized the need for a leadership that prioritizes the welfare of citizens, economic stability, and national unity. He urged opposition parties to begin mobilizing Nigerians for what he described as a “democratic revolution at the polls.”
While his statement has sparked reactions across political circles, the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has dismissed his claims, insisting that President Tinubu remains committed to delivering on his mandate and will seek re-election based on his administration’s achievements.
Political analysts believe that the 2027 election will be fiercely contested, with opposition parties strategizing to challenge the APC’s grip on power. However, supporters of Tinubu argue that his policies will yield results in the coming years, strengthening his chances for a second term.
As the countdown to 2027 begins, the political landscape in Nigeria is expected to witness intense debates and realignments, setting the stage for another highly anticipated election season.
