Saraki Pledges Continued Support for Orphans and Less Privileged Through Education
Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has reaffirmed his commitment to advancing the cause of orphans and underprivileged individuals by providing them with access to quality education.
Speaking in Ilorin during the distribution of educational support to over 200 orphans and vulnerable children under the ABS Educational Support Foundation, Saraki emphasized that the initiative aims to promote social inclusion and ensure equal opportunities for success.
The foundation’s support includes the payment of tuition fees, provision of school bags, writing materials, and books.
Represented by the Project Director of ABS Foundation, Mr. Musa Aliyu, Saraki stated, “This initiative is designed to help orphans access quality education, ensuring social inclusion and equal opportunities for success.”
He further noted that the support is aimed at strengthening economic resilience by easing the financial burden on struggling families and equipping children with the tools needed for a brighter future.
“Our efforts span across key areas such as healthcare, educational development, youth empowerment, sports, and leadership cultivation. Today marks a significant milestone as we officially launch this programme to provide educational support to over 200 orphans across Kwara State,” he added.
