The entertainment world was thrown into panic, as reports making the rounds on social media, has said that a popular celebrity, who attended the 2020 edition of the African Magic Viewers’ Choice, AMVCA, and interacted with a lot of people, has now tested positive to the coronavirus.
COVID-19, also known as coronavirus is undoubtedly causing panic across the nations of the world and the number of infected persons in Nigeria is currently increasing.
The news making rounds on social media is that a popular Nigerian celebrity, whose identity is yet to be disclosed to the public, has tested positive to Coronavirus and that he also attended the recently held AMVCA, where he mixed and interacted with a lot of other stars.
Controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, was the first to share this information with the public. Since then, other bloggers have also corroborated her information. A lady identified on Twitter as Ifeoma Chukwuogo (@Fizzy Thatcher) warned people who attended the event to self-isolate and watch themselves for some days.
She also said information has reached her that the infected person has already reported himself and she would delete her tweets to avoid further panic.
The coronavirus started in Wuhan, China, and has now spread to all but one continent in the whole world. As it stands, even popular personalities are not safe from the pandemic as top personalities in Hollywood, sports and top government officials across continents have also tested positive to the disease.
