The Network Against Corruption and Trafficking (NACAT) has urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to investigate the Nigerian Midstream & Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) over its proposed N26 billion budget for 2025.
NACAT’s Executive Director of Investigation, Fejiro Oliver Tega, raised concerns about alleged inflation and questionable allocations, particularly under local travel and transport expenses.
The organization called for greater transparency, urging the National Assembly to ensure that NMDPRA officials publicly defend the budget to prevent financial mismanagement.
