Don’t Deserve This Injustice” ……. Med Contour Boss Cries out

Lagos-base cosmetics surgeon and founder of Med Contour and Laser Center, Dr. Anuoluwapo Adepoju has cried out to Minister of Health Dr. Osagie Ehanire, President Muhammud Buhari and other Nigerians to come to her aid as she is been unjustly prosecuted.
Adepoju while speaking in an online exclusive interview with our correspondent lamented that she was being prosecuted unjustly by the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) led by the agency’s Director General Barr. Babatunde Irukera.

Adepoju who while speaking said Irukera personally led a team of policemen who invaded Med Contour’s facility in Lagos and she wasn’t given prior notice before they carried out the operation.
Lamenting her ordeal, Adepoju who has since been granted bail base on self recognition said, “I got a call to come Panti on Wednesday and I got there waited for several hours without being attended to. Apparently they told Mr. Irukera that they couldn’t arrest me because I was on bail. They made a call to get letter from the IG and they said they should arrest me. I was there till Friday and I was taken to court on Friday without knowing what they were charging me to court for. I got to court and that was when they read my charges to me. My lawyer also got to know about the charges in court because according to them I didn’t come for investigation. Meanwhile they didn’t notify me officially. They addressed me as Anu Fella and that is not my name. Nigerian Medical Association sent them a message that they have to right to investigate a medical facility base on a social media post they saw. They took out all these actions against me base on posts they saw on social media without even finding out if it was true or not. Mr. Irukera went to Panti personally and he was the prosecutor. He brought press men to come take pictures in court before the court session started. He also granted journalists interview after the court session and not a single journalist there requested for any interview. He told journalists I was in court because of a murder case meanwhile that wasn’t it. Two hours before the commencement of court sittiing, he gave journalists uncertified court copies of proof of evidence, and affidavit of completion of investigation. I don’t know what I have done to Mr. Babatunde Irukera to desreve this treatment.”

Anuoluwapo a graduate of University of Lagos Teaching Hospital insisted that FCCPC ought not to be involve in the case as it is outside their jurisdiction. I still don’t understand why Mr Irukera the CEO of a Federal Government agency would personally come to Lagos from Abuja and invade our clinic with a team of police men without a search warrant or any legal backing of any sort,” she asked rhetorically.

“To compound matters, together with erring officers of the police, he orchestrated the illegal arrest making me spend three days in the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti. He personally mandated DCP Yetunde Longe not to grant me administrative bail and claimed the orders to lock me up were supposedly from the Inspector General of Police,” she added stating that Mr. Irukera was scolded by Justice LIMAN J. of the Federal High Court Ikoyi Lagos for failure to duly and properly serve her the allegation leveled against her before the beginning of trial. She also maintained that Irukera embarked on social media trail thereby making himself the prosecutor, regulator, investigator and judge in this case.
FCCPC on Friday arraigned Med Contour and Adepoju in a five counts charge.
Efforts to reach Irukera as at the to e of filing this report on Monday 11.15 am to react to allegations levelled against him and FCCPA were abortive. His line was not reachable and he also didn’t reply to text message sent to his phone by our correspondent.
