President Bola Tinubu is planning to reshuffle his cabinet, but no timeline has been announced yet.
According to Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, President Tinubu has expressed his desire to reorganize his team, but hasn’t given a specific date for the reshuffle.
The decision to reshuffle is reportedly based on performance reports compiled by Hadiza Bala-Usman, the Special Adviser to the President on Policy Coordination.
The President has also directed his ministers to be more proactive in sharing the achievements of his administration with the public.
Onanuga noted that some ministers have been “media shy” and need to overcome this to effectively communicate their accomplishments.
This move is likely aimed at addressing concerns that the government is not doing enough, when in fact, they have achieved significant policy initiatives.
