The Nigerian Army has commenced the 2025 Lieutenant to Captain practical promotion examination, with 208 officers participating in Kaduna. The week-long examination is being conducted by the Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC).

The exercise aims to assess the proficiency and readiness of lieutenants for promotion to the rank of captain, ensuring that the Nigerian Army maintains a high standard of leadership and operational effectiveness.

The promotion examination includes various practical assessments designed to evaluate the officers’ capabilities in leadership, strategy, and military operations. Successful candidates will be promoted to the rank of captain, reflecting their readiness to take on greater responsibilities within the Nigerian Army.

This initiative underscores the Nigerian Army’s commitment to professional development and the continuous enhancement of its officers’ competencies.
